PIANOHELM MIGRATION PREPARATION CHECKLIST 1. Export your current inventory as CSV or XLSX without formulas or macros. 2. Keep one instrument per row and one field per column. 3. Identify a stable stock number or legacy ID for each record. 4. Include serial number, make, model, status, location, acquisition date and costs when available. 5. Use consistent status and location names; list ambiguous values for business review. 6. Separate acquisition cost from asking/list price and preserve historical totals. 7. Keep notes and legacy labels; PianoHelm can map different source headers. 8. Flag duplicate stock numbers, serial numbers and incomplete rows before import. 9. Retain an untouched copy of every original source file. 10. Review mappings, validation results and held rows with your PianoHelm migration contact. The downloadable CSV uses PianoHelm's supported internal field names. The Import Center can map different legacy headers to these concepts.
